We are:

  • Ambitious: Only 29% of millennials actually like work. While some go back to school, start a business, take sabbaticals or just hustle through their networks to find something new - most people just don’t know where to begin. We want to help these guys find the starting line. 

  • A remote team: We work from different locations and across different timezones. Currently we are based in Singapore, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Cebu and Auckland working out of cafes, beaches, co-working spaces and home. We believe work is something you do and not a place you go to.

  • Small: We are an early stage startup (~8 people) tackling everything in the grey space between education, recruitment and the future of work. We are backed by 500 startups and SOSV. We work scrappy so that we can move fast. 

The role:

  • Work with and for the startup community: Run experiments independently to understand startups, founders, creatives and other entrepreneurs and how we can best support their needs. You will need to have a community building mindset and be comfortable with leading initiatives online and in person.

  • Grow the opportunity pool: You will need to wear the hat of a growth marketer. Execute and improve our existing growth channels to hit key metrics for acquiring new listings from early stage startups and other organisations we work with

  • Evangelist: Early stage startups are just the beginning. We want you to recruit the best people from the best organisations in the world to list projects or other opportunities with us. Slice and dice our business user segments to develop specific persona needs.

You must have:

This role is quasi community, quasi marketing and quasi product. It doesn't have a specific background or length of practice or experience. But we expect the stronger candidates to:

  • Live and breathe startups. You are probably all across Techcrunch, have experience in working closely with an early stage startup/s or ideally even previously founded your own startup

  • Have the ability and willingness to learn new concepts very quickly. We work with many industries and you will need to rely on Google all the time to find out the difference between AR/MR/VR or net-a-porter and farfetch.

  • Have the ability to clearly explain new ideas to people through written and spoken English.

  • Communicate confidently, humbly and independently with startup founders, journalists and other industry influencers from diverse backgrounds (and may be considerably more senior!)

  • Have experience in using common non-technical marketing and sales tools (eg: Mailchimp, Zapier, Intercom, Mixpanel, Google Analytics)

  • Collaborate with the product team so that all new ideas and feedback always translates to a better product.

  • A passion for technology, ideas and the world
